This tea consists solely of pure golden tips, resulting in a lighter and sweeter flavor compared to most Assams. It is lightly rolled to preserve the tips. With this technique, there is limited oxidation, making the tea less brisk. Natural sweetness in this tea comes from the tips (or the buds) because the plants send extra sugars there to make more leaves.  Details: This special tea is expensive, since it is difficult to make a tea that has only golden buds. With one taste, you'll find that this tea was well worth the effort put into its production and your investment. It is truly a joy to behold. We especially enjoy its light body and aroma of honey.
 Dry Leaves: All golden tips, about 1/2 an inch long. They are coated in a fine, golden, downy powder.
 Liquor: Reddish peach.
 Aroma: Since it is only tips, the aromas are light and subtle, with notes of honey and roasted malt.
 Flavors: Golden tips Assam flavors are caramel-buttery and slightly malty, with hints of tropical fruits like papaya and mango. There are no darker roasted flavors, as often found in other Assams.
 Caffeine Level: Caffeinated
 Body: Light-bodied. There are no mature leaves to add heft.
