Korakundah has been seeing a lot of us Harneys. Alex has been there four times, and Mike twice. This Organic Korakundah FOP is nice and mellow—a good everyday tea. It is sourced from the highest area in the Nilgiri tea region in southern India.

Details: Korakundah is a large estate in southern India in the Nilgiri tea region. They have been socially responsible for almost 20 years. They produce organic tea, Fair Trade tea, and even Rain Forest Alliance tea. They are associated with Chamraj Estate.
Dry Leaves: Black leaves that are about 1/2 inch long. The FOP means flowery orange pekoe, referring to the larger size of the leaf. When the tea is made, it's rolled between two large metal plates. Some of the leaves retain their larger size, and some are crushed. The FOP are those leaves that retain their larger size.
 Liquor: A light brown liquor.
Aroma: Light and subtle citrus notes.
 Flavors: Light notes of citrus.
 Caffeine Level: Caffeinated
Body: Light-bodied. The larger leaves make for a mellow tea, so it tends to be on the lighter side for a black tea.
 Brewing Time: 5 minutes
 Brewing Temp: 212º
Black tea.
